Handpicked has won multiple prizes at DIA 2024. The Dutch Interactive Awards honor the very best interactive work in the Netherlands. That’s a prize you want to win, and we did just that! Various Handpicked agencies went home with a coveted award, and Handpicked Lab was also declared a winner.

Greener and more bike-friendly streets with AI

Norday (formerly IN10 and GRRR), in collaboration with Handpicked Lab, developed the Dutch Cycling Lifestyle AI tool for the Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions (NBTC). This smart tool transforms any street into a bike-friendly and green environment, truly embodying the Dutch spirit! The immensely popular AI tool has been used over 1.5 million times and has won two Dutch Interactive Awards. Norday received a silver DIA in the digital for good category, and the tool earned gold in the AI applications category.

Triple Intelligence

Handpicked Lab, Weekend, and Frontaal Brewing Company elevated the traditional beer brewing process to a higher level with the help of advanced AI. This resulted in Triple Intelligence, a unique seasonal beer with a fruity pear twist. Innovation and craftsmanship have never come together so tastefully, and it didn't go unnoticed: we toast to a silver DIA in the disrupter category.

Efteling Spookslot Metaverse

Handpicked agencies Boldly-XR and Weekend had already received three golden Lovie Awards for their Metaverse creation of the Spookslot in Efteling, but it didn't stop there. They also won a silver DIA in the category content. Using innovative laser scans, Web3, and XR technologies, they have immortalized the iconic haunted attraction. The project pushes the boundaries of heritage preservation, capturing every detail and offering an exclusive digital experience for Efteling employees.

Looff: the gift shop that truly delights

A good gifting policy is crucial for talent retention within organizations, especially in today's tight labor market. That's why the Handpicked agency Bluebird Day developed Looff, the best gift platform in the Netherlands. With a combination of accessible design, an innovative e-commerce platform, and a completely new IT setup, Looff managed to surprise even more people, leading to significant revenue growth. During the award show on June 6, they were surprised themselves with a golden Dutch Interactive Award in the e-commerce category.
